Silver, I see articles all the time here in Georgia about HS football coaches making 6 figures annually.......a lot of these schools are small classifications too!

Bradentonian, in as far as donations are concerned I'm assuming there are specific rules/laws that prevent the booster organizations from providing or assisting with a financial supplement?
Go Canes Go!
A 5K financial supplement is ridiculous for the type of responsibility and amount of extra time required from a dedicated coach to also adequately fulfill the role of a coach as well as teacher. Is this what all counties in Florida require from their coaches, in as far as a making a financial sacrifice for the love of the kids and the sport ?

Gatorman feel free to pass a cup around and donate money. I think I made like $.40 an hour one year when I was foolish enough to do the math and take out expenses for things like buying kids food/school supplies/gas, my own gas, etc. Now I wasn't the HC so I was getting paid about $2400. HC also put in probably double my hours.
Let's not get all choked up Lascari was hardly a Joe, and I liked him as a choice . Although I'm not sure how sane they are, I just heard they were going talking to the former BCS coach instead of the 3rd "finalist".Well Good for Lascari, and too bad for Manatee. Like a I said earlier......Getting Joe Kinnan was a once in a life time situation............I'm accepting the ride is really over this time.
Go Canes Go!
Put aside the money situation for a moment, Joe came to Manatee in 1981 and was there, except for when he stepped away to deal with his cancer issues through 2013.........that 20 plus years of young men/alumni that were coached by Joe and then played collegiately, and not one single former player from all those years is interested in giving it a go?

Joe took them off the schedule first,(when they were horrible) then when MHS wanted them back they said go pound sand.Fla2014....BRH coach Bradley refused to play us! Manatee wanted to play them. Now with the new playoff point system they are having to play Manatee because of how important strength of schedule is in determining seeding.
