What have you been doing as of late with off-season workouts?
“I have been lifting and doing plyometrics. Big gains for me in the Power Clean (295) Bench (315) and Squat (505). I am also up to 270 pounds and have actually gotten faster.”
What do you feel you have improved on most since last football season?
“I'm bigger, faster and stronger.”
How do you feel your team will do next football season?
“With my transfer to Melbourne Central Catholic, and Coach Hooks, we are building a very powerful team there and I think we are going to be very successful. The entire coaching staff is impressive; Coach Kimmey, Coach Knox and Coach Watkins are all successful coaches as well. There are some very talented athletes that are joining the MCC Hustlers and I am excited to be a part of it.”
What team do you feel will be the toughest competition on your schedule?
“We will play Viera which is the largest High School in Brevard county, but at our classification Mount Dora Christian will probably be the toughest game during the regular season. But the real competition I think will be farther into the postseason.”
Who is the toughest individual player your team will face off against?
“N/A.”
Do you want to play sports in college? If so, which one?
“Yes, Football mainly but if the opportunity arises that I could throw shot put or discus in track and field that would be a consideration also.”
What colleges have been recruiting you?
“I have been shown interest from the University of New Hampshire and Alderson Broaddus University. I have been invited to the UAB camp in the summer and many other camps all around the country, but I haven't been heavily recruited yet.”
What school is recruiting you the hardest?
“Mainly the D2 programs in the Southeast. I really feel like I have just now started to grow into my frame, and that with the added benefit of already starting as a Freshman and Sophomore I am ready to prove some things on the field this year.”
Have you made any college trips yet?
“None yet.”
Do you have plans for more trips soon?
“I will be visiting a few schools in the Southeast this summer, but I would like to go West and look at Idaho and Montana.”
What camps are you planning to do this summer?
“I am looking at some combines but haven't quite decided on which one to go to. I look forward to being evaluated this summer.”
Did you have a favorite college growing up?
“My grandfather was a Melbourne High Bulldog and was awarded a full scholarship for football and track at the University of Florida so I grew up rooting for the Gators. I would love to play football for Liberty or Hillsdale, or any team that feels like I could help them.”
