This is the game many fans around the Big Bend area have been waiting for, even before the season started. Both Godby and Madison County provide plenty of fireworks on the offensive side of the ball. Both teams are averaging close to 40 points per game. In fact, these two teams have been so dominant, they have won by an average margin of 21 points or in some cases higher. Game of the week

Monday morning QB - Week 9

It was a great week for high school football when you consider many district titles were on the line. We had Pine Forest taken full control of their district with a narrow win over Niceville thanks to a late interception. In other action, Ridge Community used a strong rally late in the fourth quarter to clinch their first district title in school history and Madison knocking off previously unbeaten Fort White. We'll talk about last week's action, give you our top five and look at the week ahead.

FV heads to Niceville for this week's Game of the Week. How intense will it be in Niceville tonight? Consider a district title and bragging rights as the top team in the Panhandle are on the line. The match-up between Pine Forest and Niceville also pits two of the top scoring offenses with both teams averaging over 30 points per game. Expect a high scoring affair, but could it be the defense that turns out to be the difference?

Game of the Week

Monday morning QB - week 8

St. Thomas Aquinas turned what was supposed to be the most anticipated match-up this weekend with Deerfield Beach into a lopsided game as they piled up over 360 yards of total offense en route to a 65-10 win. In other action Mainland flexed their muscles against Trinity Catholic and the Madison County Cowboys got a huge scare from Bartram Trail.

FV breaks down the weekend and answers a few burning questions. Is St. Thomas Aquinas unstoppable and did Madison County show a little vulnerability this weekend against the Bears? We’ll also give you our top 5 along with who we like in 6A and much more.

Week 8

FV Game of the Week - Deerfield Beach vs. St. Thomas Aquinas

FV is headed to Fort Lauderdale to catch the big Broward County match up that's turned out to be a national game. Beef 'O' Brady's no. 1 team, St. Thomas Aquinas will host the no. 3 team in a revenge match. The Bucks ruined the Raiders perfect season last year and will be looking to continue their undefeated quest. FV has the full breakdown of this game and our prediction. Florida Players in the CDFL

Hi football Floridians,

My name is George St. Lawrence and I am the co-founder and CEO of the newly developed Collegiate Development Football League (CDFL). I just wanted to start a discussion about the unseen talent of Florida prep athletes.

My son Peter's good friend Horace Gant played with Peter for 3 years at St. Olaf College before signing with the Redskins at the start of this season. He is from Pensacola and always talks about how there isn't enough opportunity to match the amount of talent in his home state.

I have been around this game my entire life and agree with Horace in the fact that there needs to be some secondary opportunity after high school for football players to showcase their skills and be seen by college coaches and recruiters around the country. This has lead me to develop the CDFL on the grounds that is a "second chance to make a first impression."

My son and Horace were lucky to have had some contacts that pulled them into St. Olaf while they were in that "in-between" state, but what about the thousands of others out there that aren't so fortunate?

I want to talk to you about your opinions on the matter. I want to find out from you if you think Florida talent would be benefited by this opportunity, and what you think would be the best way in going about getting these kids a legitimate look.

Check out the website and the video and let me know what you think.
