How did the high school football season go overall?
“The season went well. We made it to the 3rd round of playoffs and had an 11-2 record. We came up short of the big goal but it still was a good season. I switched from d-end to linebacker and played very well.”

What are your plans now with sports and workouts?
“I am playing basketball and outside of that I will be working on getting stronger, faster, more explosive, and being a better overall player mentally and physically.”

How do you feel your team will do next football season?
“I feel like we will do very well. We got some valuable players coming back and I’m confident we will compete and do well next season.”

What team do you feel will be the toughest competition on your schedule?
“Our schedule hasn’t come out yet but we will be moving up in the tiers so we should have a lot of competition next year playing teams like Armwood and Tampa Bay Tech and other schools.”

Who is the toughest individual player your team will face off against?
“There is a lot of good players in the area that we will have to compete against but I think we can get the job done against anybody.”

Do you want to play sports in college? If so, which one?
“Yes I want to play football in college.”

“I haven’t confirmed any trips yet, but do plan on getting up to West Virginia and seeing how things are up there.”

“I’ve always loved the University of Florida.”

“I definitely want to play college football, and it would be a dream to play [in a] power 5.”

“I have an early offer from Bethune Cookman, and have had some coaches talk to my coaches from other schools about me, so there definitely has been some interest. We’ll see what happens after spring.”

What school is recruiting you the hardest?
“See above.”

“Last year I hit a lot of college camps.”

Do you have plans for any trips soon?
“I plan on hitting all the camps I am invited to this year.”

“I was born in Tallahassee, but moved to Pennsylvania for a while so I’m a Penn State fan.”

Do you want to play sports in college? If so, which one?
“Yes, I would love to play college football. That is my ultimate goal.”

What colleges have been recruiting you?
“I continue to get emails from Ivy league schools and local Florida schools. I am open to all possibilities at this time.”

What school is recruiting you the hardest?
“Again, I have obtained some interests from schools ranging from Ivy League schools to the D3 level. I am open to everything and really just focusing on my grades and my current part-time job. I really want to continue to build my work ethic as a student, athlete, and hard-working person overall.”

Have you made any college trips yet?
“Sure, I’ve been to Old Dominion University, Virginia Tech, Georgetown, UCF, Miami, Liberty, Hampton U, Warner U, Southeastern U, and Navy.”

Do you have plans for any trips soon?
“I am just now getting that schedule together and talking to some recruiters so stay tuned.”

Did you have a favorite college growing up?
“Well, I was born and raised in Virginia. Being a young football player attending summer camps like Kids Tech University at Virginia Tech was a huge thing for me. I remember getting gloves from RB Marshawn Williams until this day.”

“No school yet is recruiting me because I am not fully developed nor fully grown but when that time comes I feel a lot of schools will hopefully bless me and give me a chance.”

“I have been to UF so far, that is the only college I have visited, yet I plan on visiting a few schools for camps this off season.”

“I do not have any trips planned yet but I will possibly this summer.”

“Yes the Georgia Bulldogs have been my team since I was a baby and have always been a fan.”

“The 2023 season went well. I ended up with 20 TDs, 1513 pass yards, and 255 rush yards in a little over seven games. 128 passer rating.”

What are your plans now with sports and workouts?
“In the off season I work out a few times a week with my QB coach Oliver Bozeman, I’m lifting, and working with Tony Villani at XPE sports on my speed.”

How do you feel your team will do next football season?
“I think Monarch is looking very good heading into the fall, we have a good team and we’ve picked up a few transfers and I think we’ve got a solid shot to go deep into the playoffs and states again.”

What team do you feel will be the toughest competition on your schedule?
“Our fall schedule isn’t out yet, but Saint Thomas is definitely the toughest team we played this year, although we lost, we played hard as a team and I threw for 285 pass yards and 2 TDs against them.”

Who is the toughest individual player your team will face off against?
“I can’t name any individual players that are tough to go against but we are in South Florida where there are great athletes and players on every team, so every team presents its own set of problems.”

“It was good! There was a lot of improvement in our plays and execution, especially with us being a young team. We went 6-4 and made the playoffs.”

What are your plans now with sports and workouts?
“Well for workouts, I want to get bigger and stronger. Overall, I really want to improve my skills and continue my work ethic.”

How do you feel your team will do next football season?
“If we keep at the rate we are going, we will do much better than our last season record. Although records were broken, we really just want to improve on the small things at the end of the day and accomplish the goals we set.”

What team do you feel will be the toughest competition on your schedule?
“I’m not really worried about tough competition. That’s what helps us grow! As long as we do what we need to do and execute, then we will be fine.”

“Again, everyone who wants to be on the field works hard out there. I am not worried about other players or teams. As a team leader, I am focused on what we need to do as a team to accomplish our goals.”

“We will perform highly, possibly even better than our recent season.”

How did the high school football season go overall?
“Not very good, I think we definitely exceeded expectations because we had 3 seniors starting and everyone else was a sophomore or a freshman, very few juniors. Next year [we] should be pretty good though.”

What are your plans now with sports and workouts?
“I have been grinding this off season and think it will pay off for this upcoming season. I work out every day except Sundays and will be starting to throw shot put soon.”

How do you feel your team will do next football season?
“I think we will be special and I believe we have the team to go to states and 100% the playoffs. My QB Cash Downey is special, and with a year under me and his high school football career we are locked in this upcoming season.”

What team do you feel will be the toughest competition on your schedule?
“I really don’t know because all the teams we are playing are good teams but I truly think Ponte Vedra, Bishop Kenney, and St Augustine High Schools will be the hardest competition this upcoming season.”

Who is the toughest individual player your team will face off against?
“St. Augustine has a lot of talent, I would say Trenton Jones, Carl Jenkins, and Locklan Hewlitt will be some tough players to stop for sure.”

Shawn Simeon, Naples RB


Simeon is getting a lot of attention from colleges. Looking at his videos he seems to be a plant the foot and take off back. He has very good to excellent speed. He runs track. Naples plays most of their games in Collier County but they did play Port Charlotte. Dunbar ended Naples’ season in the Regional Finals of the state playoffs. Has anyone seen him play?

How did the high school football season go overall?
“Overall I think we had a good season. We started out hot but faded at the end, mostly because of injuries.”

What are your plans now with sports and workouts?
“I’m currently getting some offseason workouts and position training in. I’m also conditioning for track season.”

How do you feel your team will do next football season?
“We will definitely get in the playoffs. With our group of coaches, I think we can really go deep in the playoffs.”

What team do you feel will be the toughest competition on your schedule?
“I would have to say Mandarin. They had a spectacular run to the State Championship game.”

Who is the toughest individual player your team will face off against?
“I’m not sure about the toughest individual player but as a team, it’s Mandarin.”

“Yes I definitely want to play football in college. It’s been my dream since playing youth football.”

“Wake Forest, that was my first unofficial visit.”

What school is recruiting you the hardest?
“I have interest from ACC and FCS schools but recruitment is 100% open and looking for the right program that fits me.”

“I have attended a camp and unofficial visit to Wake Forest and performed at camps at NC State, Duke, and East Carolina.”

“I plan to take a couple unofficial visits and go back to Wake Forest and other schools that are showing interest in me.”

How did the high school football season go overall?
“The season was great for the program. New head coach, in year one [we] went 8-2. We did not get overall to the goal we wanted but as a group we proved a lot of people wrong and came through a lot of adversity.”

What are your plans now with sports and workouts?
“My plans now with sports are playing football and running track. I’m going to keep grinding in both sports every day working out, getting stronger, faster, overall as great as I can be in every category of my game.”

How do you feel your team will do next football season?
“The team next season will do even greater things than last season. It’s a win or go home mindset here.”

What team do you feel will be the toughest competition on your schedule?
“I don’t know who the hardest is going to be right now because people could still transfer at the last second or whatever happens. What I do know is it doesn’t matter who they got or what they have, because we’re going to come out on top every time.”

Who is the toughest individual player your team will face off against?
“[It doesn’t] matter what player we go against, they aren’t going to do any true damage to our team.”

“Overall it didn’t go the best, [we] went 4-6 but my individual play was very good with a 1000+ yd season with 12 TDs in only 9 games.”

What are your plans now with sports and workouts?
“My plans now are to just get bigger and stronger in the weight room while letting my play on the field keep elevating. I also am doing track again after my first-year state run last year.”

How do you feel your team will do next football season?
“I feel my new team will do great next year. I believe me and my teammates at Edgewater are going to win a state title this year.”

How did the high school football season go overall?
“The football season didn’t go as we expected overall but I am sure they will have an upcoming bounce back season, with the team showing resilience and teamwork.”

What are your plans now with sports and workouts?
“My plans now involve focusing on maintaining physical fitness through targeted position training, mobility, speed training and strength training.”

How do you feel your team will do next football season?
“Unfortunately I will not be playing with West Orange HS this upcoming season, I will be at Wiregrass Ranch HS. I have a lot of confidence in this program and believe we will be playing in the state championship this upcoming season.”

“The toughest competition on our schedule is likely to come from either Zephyrhills or Land O’ Lakes. These games are considered dog fights for us since they have a close score throughout the course of the game. Both teams have skilled players.”

“I plan to run track in the spring, lift & work on getting in sync with my new receivers.”
