Gatorman001, I have never had a full alcoholic beverage in my life. I have had a few sips of a Coors Light the night that I turned 21, and never drank alcohol again. I have a right to challenge a know-nothing like Dan in Daytona when he posts his usual nonsense about the officiating, a subject he knows nothing about. I will exercise that right when I am able to. I hope that is understood.

You know the thing about being independent such as myself is sometimes you agree with the left sometimes you agree with the right and you typically find it hard to agree with anyone who is essentially hard core extreme left or right.... so if you've seen him agree on the left that's because he's truly independent.
Also there's absolutely zero reason for a person to lie about being independent.... you he me Dan or anyone else has to do nothing to prove who they are and what side they do or do not support.

Peezy, you and I had a great conversation over the telephone once, and you know how much that I respect you. I used to be quite friendly with Dan, and I tried to explain some issues about officiating that he seems to not be able to let go of at the lunch that we had, and several times when we have run into each other in public. He does not seem to understand what I explained to him, and I have had it with his "inner-city school got screwed because of racist officials" act and his constant shilling of his former employer. I believe in standing up for what I think is right, and I will continue to conduct myself in this way as long as I am able to.
My personal experience with debating politics on a social media site is a useless endeavor. It usually, like this one, turns into an emotional name-calling event where the facts and evidence disappear.
BTW, when the person I’m having a discussion/debate begins name-calling and personally attacking me I know they have run out of valid points to make.

Mainland gets a lot more favorable calls at home then ever on the road. From 2000-2018 I missed two Buc games (at Pine Ridge, at Bartrum Trial-Monday nite). That's 19 yrs of home and away games. I Know what I saw during those years. I saw the flags, the calls. I even admitted I could have been wrong to both Mark and Gatorman about Bradenton. The early post are there to read !!!! You forget that you accused the officials in a Raines-Bolles playoff game a few years back of being members of the Klu Klux Klan because Raines had a lot of penalties, justified as the film showed, and Bolles won the game. You didn't know about the officials being chased off the field, having their dressing room wall pounded on, and having to have police escorts to their cars. Is that kind of response acceptable to you leftist? Were those people who looked like Obummer's sons, or are do only black victims of violence look like his son?

My last piece of advice, go back and erase some of these attacks before someone from your association sees them. All they prove is you're easily rattled and have some deep seeded implicit biases, which is not a trait of Football Referees at any level. And I know, my college roommate just finished his 35 year career refereeing Div 2 (Did a National Title game) and NAIA football.

If you go back to my post that you were first referring to I was writing about my personal experiences debating politics on the internet. Your discussion with Dan began about opinions, facts and evidence. Then name calling and insults began diluting the conversation. It had begun to overtake it with personal insults. That’s okay because it added some color(no pun intended) and entertainment but it was not leading to, at the very least, you both agreeing to disagree. You can post whatever you want within the rules of the site. That is your business.

You claimed that the officials must have been wearing "hoods" when the game was talked about on the board and how many more penalties Raines had than Bolles. That was the whole reason why we had the lunch together, I was tried of reading about your claiming racism by officials against inner-city schools. How could you not remember that? There used to be a coach from an inner-city school in Duval County that used to post on this message board, and him and I used to get into arguments a lot.
There are a few issues in which my personal belief is closer to the Democratic Party, but unlike you, I don't claim to be an Independent. I am a lifelong member of the Republican party. I don't hide behind some veneer of "both sides are wrong" so I am an "Independent."
That's just the facts, why don't you explain to me how this country is where it is, if both sides have been right? There is no compromise, there is only division (as you display and foster) and political maneuvering. The people haven't been part of the equation for years, but I don't expect lemmings to recognize that.
I don't feel that everyone is right all of the time. I don't care for people like you who claim to be "Independents" don't take a stand for anything, and sit on the sidelines so you won't be criticized.
