Bc a lot of private schools you live on campus, when we played tca i saw lots of on site dorms, most publics do not so they have to accually move to the county to play at a school while privates can just let the kid live on campus

You keep saying that these public schools beat STA like it happens all the time STA may lose a game here and there to Deerfield beach or Booker T. Washington but it happens rarely. I agree with y'all on most of your points yes Broward is a bigger county, yes it is a hot bed for talented football players, yes Venice needs to toughen up they are slow and didn't match up well. They'd get beat by some south Florida public schools too. Like you've already expressed STA recruits just like every other private school which in the rule book they're allowed to they're not breaking any rules. I just want STA people to be honest about how much those rules have helped their program over the last decade. Stop acting like STA has the same talent level as everyone else they absolutely do not. They're the most talented team in the state year after year they might not win it all every year but they're the most talented. Go ahead and look at the 2018 top Florida recruits an awful lot of STA kids.

Once again I'm not no STA apologist or rep them.. You gotta remember how these kids get ranked that don't have film on them ... They get ranked at those shorts n pants camp .. So I wouldn't pay no mine to that ... Fat as the players you mentioned the oilmen is at Chaminade. He transferred out about 2 to 3 weeks ago.. The DB Troutman played last year... Seen him play live against BTW... Don't know why he don't have no film...
LOL. Trevon Grimes came from 10 states away to play. This happens often at STA. They are much better recruiters than IMG because they are allowed to harvest the local hotbeds and the national landscape. And they cry about not scheduling IMG because they "recruit". Again, cowards. The sooner this school is booted out of competing with real HS teams the better. They are one of the few "super" teams, along with Gorman, IMG, and the California flavor of the month (DLS, Mater Dei, St. John's Bosco, Centennial, etc.).
Grimes moved to Coral Springs from Indiana in Middle School. That was a decision made by his family and yes one of the reasons for the move was for the challenge to maximize football or would you expect him to move to the SRQ ;-)
Played for Coral Springs in (AYFL). There were clearly several players on his team ahead of him developmentally speaking.
I know for a fact that Grimes worked on his craft probably year-round and used to hear from friends and family in the Coral Springs area how hard the kid worked. He didn't just move here from Indiana as this elite football player - good but there loads of players in the AYFL that were well ahead of him again from a developmental standpoint. But if you think STA is recruiting above average 10 and 11 year old football players in Indiana when they have a plethora of SFL youth leagues in their backyard? STA does not need to go to Indiana to view talent...Are you aware that parents often seek to enroll kids at STA? Obviously not. what can I say...have at it. Happens "often" also, right ?
As to STA being "scared" to play IMG, you are welcome to your opinion but STA played AT HS National Champion Bishop Gorman last year and AT a very good BTW team last year in a very hard atmosphere- but they're scared of IMG.

Stop trying to defend something that is obviously wrong STA has it's state championships congratulations I'm happy for them but their fans and program needs to stop acting like their on the same talent level as everyone else. With the talent level they have if they don't win state every year their coach needs to be fired. Also forget Grimes what about those other players I listed? They didn't get recruited from middle school all their highlights are of them playing at different schools.
When parents initiate the contact with a private school it is not recruiting.
Ask the best offensive player and best defensive player on that PUBLIC school Venice, if you don't believe me ...

As to the other players you reference, my answer to you is STA is a PRIVATE school as opposed to a PUBLIC. - like Venice. It does matter if STA's players came from Mars as long as they are in compliance with FHSAA guidelines. If you still can't figure it out ask 181pl how the rule works...Ask him how the rule applied to Plant High School athletics.

Broward handicapper you are a trip I have already expressed all of the things you have told me to do I've said it is an issue with the FHSAA not STA but don't sit there with your fat cheeto dusted fingers and tell me it is fair. "Ask Plant how the rules work" well they were a public school and got hammered STA is private so they will face no repercussions for what they do its in the "rules" and has been as a private school. All I am saying is stop acting like STA isn't taking advantage of the rules and if all these south florida teams just want to compete against the best and see who is the best in the state then my vote is not for STA to be out but for IMG to be in and let them compete for a State championship.

STA is the largest school and has the most exposure so naturally they represent the private schools. All I want to hear is you be honest by saying that STA does have an advantage over public schools. The truth will set you free.
ALL private schools HAD an advantage from a zoning standpoint. Agree. But it never kept public schools like Venice from recruiting it's top players from schools like Northport and Sarosota - well out of the student athlete school zone relative to their home address. Did it?
Going forward zoning rules are essentially the same for all. Would you agree to that?
The disadvantages of private schools are sometimes tuition and sometimes enrollment/acceptance due to GPA and other circumstances.

I'm sure if a private school has an established athletic program than there are strings that can be pulled to get them into school. I'm not saying STA is bad for kids either they seem to get a lot of kids signed and into college which is the main goal for any high school program, trying to further a young mans education. If athletics is his golden ticket great if not and he gets there that's great too. I have no problem with IMG either even if they competed for a state championship I think it is great for those young men. I just wanted an STA fan admit that they (Along with all other private schools) have had an advantage over public schools.
