With Venice, Booker, and Cardinal Mooney chasing rings and not playing each other, we have Sarasota and Riverview left. Neither team is ring chasing, neither team will win their district, and both teams are rebuilding. With that being said, the rivalry has more coals added to it. Coach Campbell, RHS legend, will be on the opposing side leading the Sailors. I think this game will come down to coaching. It's a long way away, but I am looking forward to this game.

If in fact neither team is playoff worthy, would love to see a traditional Thanksgiving Day game!
From 1962 to 1974 Sarasota and Riverview always met in the annual Turkey Bowl football game at 11 am on Thanksgiving morning

I see Carlos Woods is the interim Head Football Coach at Booker. Is he the possible Head Coach? Has Booker been able to hold on to it’s players since Littles stepped down?
It would be nice to build this game up. To be honest, outside of the Jones Brothers transferring from Booker to Sarasota, I'm not sure who has came and left Sarasota. Riverview does have a good size line and solid RB. I would give the edge to Riverview at this point in time but it's still early. Both teams I think will improve this year.
Coach Amp of Sarasota needs to attract some players and get the most out of the players he has. Win the games he should win. At least split with the teams they are competitive with. Give a decent showing against the teams that are clearly better than they are (the toughest to achieve). He must start getting parents of players to believe in what he is doing.
