Complete domination in this once competitive long time east/west Volusia County rivalry. The Bulldogs had nothing for the Buccaneers. Mainland penalties were what kept the Deland offense moving at times, and which also slowed down the lethal Mainland offense. For many reasons, which I decline to speculate on here again, Deland continues to lose athletes to University High of Orange City, Deltona, and Deltona Trinity Christian. When and if that situation ends anytime soon has always been in the hands of the administrators in Deadland.... Good test next week ,again on the road, at highly ranked 7A Bartram Trail. They had two very talented rotating QB's last year. If either is back this will be a good learning experience. Can't wait....Buc Forever
