The upsets didn’t slow down this past weekend in the third round of the playoffs as Deerfield Beach fell victim to Miramar QB Eugene Smith. The Patriots pulled off another last minute win to advance into the state semifinals. In other action, Lakeland rolled and Madison was surprised by Bolles yet again at Boot Hill. However, the biggest upset and possible shake up in the 4A classification came when Armwood was stunned by Plant. We take a look at all the surprises and focus even further on the state semifinals this weekend for the larger classifications, as well as looking ahead to the state championships for the smaller ones as Pahokee goes for a 3-peat.
