Manatee County student/athletes will begin the official start of fall practice Monday, the earliest day permitted by the state.
However, football and volleyball teams may be delayed in beginning their seasons.
Manatee County director of athletics Jason Montgomery said while all the sports teams can begin practice Monday, only golf, cross country and swimming and diving teams will begin competition Sept. 7.
