Let's face cold reality. It's going to be tough to engage in contact sports (e.g., football, basketball or wrestling) during the pandemic. Even being in a crowded locker room (e.g., volleyball, field hockey or swimming) sounds dangerous.

The A.D. at U Conn has already opted out of the 2020 football season and notified Conference officials.

NCAA Division II and III schools have already cancelled Championships for all Fall Sports.

Do players and fans want to see this? Unlikely. Can we survive without college sports this season? Obviously, yes.

The World is in a different time and place, friends. Our job is to accept this and go on with our lives.

Probably the most important lesson to be taken away from all this is that players, coaches, and A.D.'s need to fully understand that life can and will go on without them.

Maybe someone should shoot a memo to the 13 renegade players who decided to boycott the Pac-12 unless their demands - which included a 50% share of all revenues - were met.

Nice try, boyz. What's Plan B???
