Teams that have a deep rich history of winning, not just from recent memory either,I'm talking about storied programs,Football Royalty!!!

Is it Cocoa
Miami Central
Or Booket T. Washington

Or am I way off?

There's a difference in being considered a Blueblood Football program than just being an elite Football program.

Those are my guesses above, but I want to know who you think deserves to be called a true BLUEBLOOD Football program...GO!!!

Long Time Powers:
St. Thomas Aquinas
Bolles
Carol City
Manatee
Glades Central
Lakeland

Recent Strong Teams (in the new century):
Miami Central
Booker T. Washington
Trinity Christian
Cocoa
Plant
Apopka
Northwestern
American Heritage Plantation

I am sure I am missing others.

The Laz index is probably the best place to answer this question:
Laz began rating HS programs in 1999, here is a cumulative top 10 rating of all programs going back to 1999

1.) St. Thomas Aquinas (Fort Lauderdale) -145.56
2.) Miami Central -141.48
3.) Armwood (Seffner) -141.09
4.) Lakeland -138.46
5.) Bolles (Jacksonville) -138.38
6.) Washington (Miami) -138.21
7.) Manatee (Bradenton) -137.35
8.) Miami Northwestern -137.21
9.) Madison County (Madison) -137.14
10.) Lincoln (Tallahassee) -136.83

Using data provided by the FHSAA, Laz developed a simple point system for all 280 schools that have advanced to the state semi-finals and beyond since 1963 when Coral Gables won the first state championship tournament. Points are awarded as follows:

State Champion = 5 points
Co-State Champion = 4 points
Runner-Up = 2 points
Semi-Final Loss = 1 point
1) Bolles 67 pts
2) St. Thomas Aquinas 63 pts
3) Glades Day 55 pts
4) University Christian 46 pts
5) North Florida Christian 45 pts
5) Pahokee 45 pts
7) Glades Central 43 pts
8) Lakeland 39 pts
9) Trinity Christian (Jax) 38 pts
10) Manatee 37 pts

Go Canes Go!

HOMER ALERT !
Mainland High- #11 on the Laz Index (1999-2015)
Current Playoff Streak- 23 years ( 1994-2016), #2 public school, (#1 Lakeland, 24yrs. 1993-2016)
18 - District Championships (94,97,98,00,01,02,03,04,06,07,08,09,11,13,14,15,16)
8 - Regional Championships (98,02,03,04,06,11,13,14) ** Except for 2002 the semi winner over Mainland won the championship.
1 - State Championship (2003)
* Orlando Sentinel named Mainland High "Central Florida Team of the Decade" (2000-09) in their seven county coverage area.
* 43 playoff wins ('97-'16)
* Knocked out - '11 Miami Central, '12 Naples, '13 Miami Central, '14 Miami Central, '15 Miami Central, '16 Carol City
No shame in losing to the above football teams. Should have met them in the title game. Outside of Apopka there is no better team north of I-4 from Jacksonville to
Pensacola (IMO)
