How many games turn on KO's, on-sides, TDs or great field possession?
They better come up with an alternative like a board game and the captains run out and roll dice after each score (KO in EX; X amount of yards returned from EZ; Out of bounds; TD run back; onside kick; fair catch; fumble on KO; onside recovered by KT; onside recovered by RT, etc. you get the idea). Of course you'd have to apply some sort of weight factor to consider the caliber of returner and coverage team.
And really if you do that, will punts be far behind?

If you're afraid of getting hurt, don't play the game! But don't change the way this sport has been played for 100 years.
Maybe they should make everyone wear those big fake Sumo Wrestlers padded outfits.
Actually, I think the helmets and the pads are the problem. You don't see this many injuries in rugby.
