FlaVarsity.com has learned that the Volunteer coaching staff will be returning to Pahokee today since being 'escorted' from the campus last week.

Tennessee assistant coach Eddie Gran is expected to attend and meet up with the Pahokee administration to sort out the problems the two school have endured over the past few months.

From what we hear, the UT staff has smoothed things over with the Pahokee coaching staff and now it appears they are heading towards that same direction for the Pahokee administration.

IMO it should be only a matter of time before this is resolved. Although it won't be totally put to bed until head coach Lane Kiffin makes a trip over to Pahokee.

FV will have a complete report on the visit later today. UT coaches will meet with the Pahokee administration, and we will have that follow up later today.

Backstory: For those of you unfamiliar with how this all started, in February, Tennessee Head Coach Lane Kiffin insulted the Pahokee administration and community while giving a speech to Tennessee Boosters alleging that the school could not be trusted when they faxed Nu'Keese Richardson's letter of intent. (If you recall, Richardson was an early commitment to Florida, but pulled a switcharoo at the last minute.) Kiffin was also quoted (in the Gainesville Sun) saying "For those of you who haven't been to Pahokee, there ain't much going on. You take that hour drive up from South Florida, there ain't a gas station that works. Nobody's got enough money to even have shoes or a shirt on.")

Coach Kiffin apologized to Coach Thompson since then, but not to the community or administration. So the ill feelings still remain.
