Venice vs Manatee - Can the Manatee defense put Venice in a position, that Venice has to pass the ball? With the Venice offense what they do is pretty simplistic, that being at least at this point of the playoffs "follow the Venice TE" and you can be fairly certain where the play is going 95% of the time. Peacock's has been consistent with this type of offensive approach, in that he figures out what his personnel on a given year allows his Venice teams to do exceedingly well, and then banks on that concept of 4-5 different plays he runs over and over again as something most teams not being able to stop.......to be honest its worked out pretty well for him over the years!

The last game between these 2 amounted to, Manatee benefiting from a 6-8 minute rain storm and coming out it with a 13 point lead that served as a catalyst to a eventual 30-13 regular season win. Throw in also the 3 INT's because at that point Peacock felt a balance offensive attack, was what gave his team its best opportunity to win games.

The resulting open week before the playoffs started, allowed Peacock to reevaluate things from a personnel and offensive approach, and you end up with a new 160 lbs QB....... that carried the ball 30+ times last week, in a round 2 of the playoffs win......almost a Bryce Carpenter type approach to running the Venice offense now.

Manatee has to come out sky high emotionally and maintain that for an entire game, for Manatee to be able to have any chance of winning this time. The difference between a Joe Kinnan coached Manatee team to a Manatee team coached by the current staff is huge.....is probably what made Peezy think Manatee would win by 35 last week? Venice is beatable.....just not sure if Manatee can pull it off twice?

Im with TWC249's statement of a week or 2 ago, where he said Manatee playing to semi-final game against STA, and you cant help but be pleased with Manatee's 2019 season.........Im all in with Manatee tomorrow night - Manatee

Ahhh ... the red font. Such a classy touch by gatorman001!

Too bad jambun82 didn't use no red font. Had he did that, Nu'Trelle might have splain to him about the Illibuck trophy.

If you would just answer my question, no red font would be needed. I am assuming by that name, that Ohio State has a rivalry trophy with Illinois.
