The first thing I noticed is that they are not playing Cardinal Mooney or Booker this year. Outside of Naples, Manatee, and Venice, the rest of the games should be wins. After this year, Naples will be taken off the schedule also.

8/15 - @Port Charlotte
8/22 - Naples
8/29 - @Tampa Riverview
9/5 - Palmetto
9/12 - @Moore Haven
9/19 - North Port
9/26 - Sarasota
10/3 - IMG White
10/10 - @Venice
10/24 - @Lehigh
10/31 - @Manatee

The game that sticks out to me and probably everyone else is the @ Moore Haven game on September 12th. Normally, this would be a typo or something like including a reporter on a high level Signal chat🤣. Moore Haven is in the Rural, yes Rural classification. Moore Haven went 5-5 for the 2024 season. They have a new head coach football, Deric Allen, that is coming from Chiefland High. He was their offensive coordinator. I saw Chiefland play twice last year. They were pretty good. They ran the ball a lot. They had a stud player that ran the ball well. He was primarily a linebacker who would play running back if it was deemed necessary. Would love to know how this game got scheduled. I've never been to Moore Haven. I can’t imagine this game not be a Riverview track meet.

If that's the case, I would assume the Head Coach probably knows Moore Haven's head coach or someone on the staff pretty good. It does seem like a random game.

The schedule includes some pretty good competition, with Naples and Venice....and possibly Manatee (not sure what to make of Manatee yet), and Port Charlotte....

No doubt. With North Port being close to Venice, it'll be hard for them to keep any qualities players unfortunately. They are going to be very bad until Peacock leaves Venice.
how many teams are in Sarasota County and why are only two teams soaking in the talent? I think Booker has some good neighborhoods.

I think Booker has done a great job at recruiting their community and keeping their talent in house and it has shown. Venice is a machine and winning state championships and playing a tough schedule is attractive to high profile players and parents. Winning is a great recruiting tool.

Cardinal Mooney says hello.

My wife is from Newtown. She grew up about a mile from Booker. I could say I soaked up some of that talent but not sure she would appreciate me saying that.
