On3 has purchased Rivals in a partnership with Yahoo Sports who owns Rivals. It is being described as a partnership with On3 and Yahoo whatever that means. I watched an hour long YouTube video done with Orangebloods that is the top Texas Longhorns site. The owner of Orangebloods stated that Rivals will be focused on High School primarily on recruiting. On3 and Rivals are both headquartered in the Nashville area.
