The University of Tennessee and Virginia Tech special built a football field in the middle of Bristol Race Track (also known in NASCAR circles as "Thunder Valley") and played a game there on Saturday night. With 156,990 fans in attendance, they set a world-record for a college football game.

The most amazing part of all is that not one player, coach, cheerleader or fan was killed. Organizers made a last minute decision to postpone the car race and run it at a later date.

This is first time I have ever heard of a post game body count after a FBS football game. Thank goodness the body count was 0.

What about on the way home from the game? I bet those 4th quarter 2 for 1's had folks crossing the center line trying to straighten out those mountain turns on the way home.
