I see kids that have very high rankings but they don't play like it. then I see no name kids that can really play. what's up with that?

here is a name for you. CB Raheem Layne. he plays at Sebastian river. from looking at him and the kid from American Herritage. Layne is bigger, more physical and they are about the same speed. but the Layne kid doesn't have any offers or stars by his name. why could that be? from what they were saying in the stands. school, grades and test score isn't a issue. raheem layne hudlIn terms of star rankings it's up to the top few at Rivals. I feed the info I have when I can.

He plays for Sebastian river. He is a SR. His head coach is Kevin Pettis I believe
Sorry but Nu'Trelle disagree with SK 100% on this one. Great players slip thru the cracks all the time and they no excuse for it! When he were a senior, Wavebb - a special team specialist - never got one offer. He was a holder on punts.Damn son, the experts rank them, commonly refered to as "they." And they always get it right.
naw I wouldn't say that either. there are players on their that aren't that talented.Every player on the Orlando Sentinel Super 60 should be added. I do not have the admin accessibility to add players otherwise up to 100 more would be listed.
your wrong. because there is no need to call a kid out by his or her name. You are wrong. There are players on the watch list that are talented and CFla is so deep that its hard to do 60.
You can't name a player obviously but I don't see who you are speaking of.
I know a few kids on your 60 list that there is know way that you looked at how they played. a lot of them aren't even best on their teams. but they in the top 60 in CFLThat is exactly what I said - but you implied exactly that when you took a shot at the 60 on the list. Chris Hays does an excellent job.
Make up what you think is a better list and put it on here. Problem solved. No b--tchin and moanin need be involve about the other guy doin it wrong, comprende?if your a 4-5 star safety or lb you should never shy away from contact or only show up against lesser talent. but I see to many on this list. 1 is to many in my opinion but there is more.

Yeah that's what I have heard a lot. That guy Pettis is relentless when it comes to his kids. Wish r could have played fit more than one year with Pettis.
I concur Fla2014. The current FSU freshman QB ( also from IMG ) was also rated the #1 dual threat coming out of high school a couple season ago from several rating services. The young man has a tremendous upside and is a fine runner, but in no way does his running ability stand above a dozen or so current young QB's in college. IMO Jamis was a more dangerous player with his legs on the field.....maybe off the field too
I agree boss. Just giving an opinion. And you know what they say about them. PeaceI think Dual Threat means the combination of passing and running ability at the time of evaluation, not just the fact that a QB is an elite runner but not so much as a passer. If that were the case Lamar Jackson would have been #1.

Oh yeah, I get what you're saying tho, Francois definitely wasn't the best runner in the state that year. Hell, you could make the case that DeAndre Johnson was the best dual threat, he won Mr. Football after all.
Just so y'all understand what Dan just said... Deandre Francois came out the same year as Lamar Jackson.... But was rated as the #1 Dual Threat QB...
I hate to say it but this is one of those situations where a certain "type" of QB was labeled dual threat when in fact they are a Pocket Passer... Jameis was also labeled a Dual threat out of high school...
Amazing. Rarely does you see a QB who can play defensive tackle.Johnson was definitely a better DT QB.
Not sure bout that, but Nu'Trelle saw him run a 70-80 yd QB sneak and then go back and try to help the injured 190-200 lb. Armwood defender who he'd run over near mid-field. Looked like a triple axle dump truck hittin a Fiat.Timmy jumped into the DT spot in the State Final game didn't he?
that's great to hear. that kid stands out on the field.I spoke to coach Pettis and he told me that a few schools are close to offering him and he will keep me posted. He didn't say which schools but when he let's me know I'll let y'all know.
I haven't been into recruiting much lately but it makes me wonder who else is being QB stereotyped this year.
