Head coach Calvin Davis told FlaVarsity.com that his team's key to a successfull season will be a strong offseason and a solid showing from the special teams this fall. The team's strength is their experience as they are returning 19 starters.
Singer's Outlook:[/B] Monarch ran into a tough matchup in the first round of the playoffs against Miramar. Monarch definitely has a really talented squad led by five-star WR Calvin Ridley who busted onto the scene with a huge junior season. Quarterback Michael Harris just needs to get the ball in his playmakers hands, and he has a lot of those in the Calvin Ridley, Cavin Ridley (Calvin's younger brother), Shawn Burgess-Becker, and under the radar playmaker Ellex Davis. With this Monarch team returning an eye-popping 19 starters, they have a legit shot at getting past Miramar if they are to meet in the playoffs again.
