SK like both of these teams, but kind of have to look at the body of work and statitics including Saban coaching against his old staff.

Plus, SK think Oklahoma's defense is going to prove to be a lot easier in making a true freshman QB look really good, than Bama's will. SK think that 1 second from last year's game is coming on the field with Bama tonight.

SK could be wrong, but he been on a hot streak latley, just ax Wavebb and the rail huggers at Bonita Springs Greyhound track.

I thought I'd put some numbers together to show how the power mongers can justify keeping non-Power 5 schools out of the playoffs. First let me state that any system where this practice is deemed acceptable is biased, flawed, unfair and should be outlawed. There are 130 FBS schools. Only 65 (50%) are realistically eligible to make the playoffs. The Power 5 includes 64 schools and Notre Dame. The other 65 schools barely have a mathematical chance to achieve playoff status. In this day and age, this is simply unacceptable and criminal. If a playoff system exists, every school must have an equal opportunity to win a championship. There can be absolutely no exclusions.
Unfortunately, people who feel as I do are probably going to be disappointed when they see the numbers below. I have done an 18 year (21st Century) analysis and the disparity is unbelievable.

Since 2004 when we began differentiating the FBS schools by Power 5 and non-Power 5, over 1600 games have been played between the two. The Power 5 has won over 81% of those contests. Total domination.

Here is a summary of the conferences as they are currently structured, sorted by Avg. Power Rating from 2000-2017 (18 seasons)

The average Power 5 team is over two touchdowns better than the average Non-Power 5 team.
As a fan, do we really want to open the door to mismatches which could be likely to occur if the Non BCS schools were all eligible to participate? Or should we limit the number of eligible possibilities from these conferences? The latter scenario could be considered just as biased as the system is today. What do we do? Is an 8 team field enough? How about 12 with a 4 team bye system? Can we go to 16? Can we do anything?
If they are ALL FBS (which they are), they should ALL have a chance. Just sayin'.

We'll never win this argument because the playoff games were actually good this year. But, as others have argued, the SEC top to bottom is not good. So, why would you compare the AAC top to bottom?

UCF was awesome this year and proved it in the Auburn game. They might have made it to the championship, if given the chance. Everyone was so willing to give Boise State a chance years ago. Why didn't UCF get the same chance? Because those in power thought they would lose TV revenue. It's all about the bucks!

Precisely the point I’m trying to make. The non-Power 5 conference championship teams are ignored because their conferences are perceived to be inferior....Which they are. Is it fair? Hell no.
By the way, Boise St was never given a chance. They are the most ripped off team in the FBS. Since 2000, they have the best w-l record of any FBS school in the country. They have finished unbeaten twice. Defeated an 11-3 Oklahoma team when they were 13-0 And later beat a one loss TCU squad in 2009 when they finished 14-0. Yet they have not even sniffed the possibility of being a National Champ.
This is what is wrong with the system.
The defense of the selection committee is based on schedule strength. So that is how they justify not picking a UCF for the playoff. This is how they get away with it. That is all I’m pointing out. I want the system fixed so everyone has a chance.

What conference is good top to bottom? As laz showed you top to bottom over the last 20 years it is the SEC. No conference is good top to bottom.
