First and foremost, a Football mom - we all had one of those a lot of us married a woman who became one; That is a special individual, particularly those who do it alone in a male dominated arena.

She also knows football as well or better than a lot of folks on this board. She can talk offense, defense, college, pro, coaching, you name it. I love it when after we're done with the Friday night games throwing out a NCAA game and she's right there with a valid take. She can trade punches with the big hitters and has a great sense of humor. She could have been on the NCAA Committee.

Neutral is still getting me to donate to his travel fund whenever I go through the line at Wendys so he go up and take her out on New Year's eve.

Like Spike Lee says, do the right thing! Vote and vote often. Happy Holidays.

It is great that someone finally acknowledges that a female knows the game of football. Even in 2014 it never ceases to amaze me at just how men look at women when it comes to the game. So many times in my life I have had males attempt to correct me about a play call, scheme, or penalty only to find themselves actually in the wrong. Some of us females know a hell of a lot more than just touchdowns and final scores. Kudos to you for recognizing that. Choctaw_fan and I have not always seen eye to eye for a number of reasons, up to and including that our sons went to rival schools; however, it has always been refreshing to have another female football person on here.

Yeah, you guys had some pretty good exchanges that were football savvy. For the most part the woman on here have held their own, you occasionally get a mom who is just getting started and still learning the game who comes in asking advice or things like that - but you two showed your stuff from the get go.

My late wife was Canadian grew up in a Hockey family didn't know football at all. But she could emerese herself in things. When we were running the yacht of the guy who owned the Detroit Tigers, she taught herself baseball by scoring games. In football, our first son was a Center next an OLB, then a receiver - she could talk it all, question play calling, etc.

But, I've known a lot of single moms doing it and always had a lot of admiration for them. Like everything else, its hard enough doing it with two parents. I was blessed with a miracle that she promised me she'd last till our oungest graduated high school - 15 years, and she did by two months and got all three pretty squared away.

Thanks for your support!

But, the comments you made about women supporting high school football why you should be POY!

How many high school players live in one parent homes? I guarantee you, most are not living with their father. How many of those mothers are working two jobs just to buy the equipment a son or daughter needs to play sports? They do it because they want their children to have a better life. If it takes learning the sport of football to get their son a scholarship, they do it. Whatever it takes!
