Word has it today that Spurrier dropped out. I would of begged to get on his coaching staff to gain more experience. Never too old to learn.
Well, just to update this coaching search. SS removed himself. The former coach has a law suit against the district. They interviewed former successful coaches for the program for the final interview two weeks ago. Their search committee had members of the SB, other AD's from the county, parents, the new AD, and the principal. Guess what? The Principal wanted a certain coach but the SB wasn't happy with the selection. Just FYI the former coach had a run in with the Principal when he was a coach about loyalty issues and running a better track program event. SO they opened the job up for another week as no one could come into an agreement. They pay your stipend up here by the amount of years experience as a coach. You could pull easily 12 grand just from coaching along with some other bennies. The team the year before won regions I believe and finished 4-6 this past year. Loaded with freshmen soph's and jr's.
