Great questions all around. I've heard a lot of rumors, none of them seem credible; however, with Paul Maechtle taking over, even if it's just for the Summer- you know they'll be well coached. Mooney is an interesting job, they came within seconds of shocking the world and knocking off Clearwater Central Catholic in the 2nd round last year.

I can't blame Smithers for wanting a higher paying teaching job...that's pretty much all it boils down to for him I think. Mooney doesn't have to look for a HC very often so it should be very interesting to see who gets the job. This will only be their 3rd HC in the last 36 years. Mooney is a place where people tend to stay for a while as long as they do things the right way. Whoever gets the job will most likely have quite a bit of talent to work with in the fall as well.
