I think that Ohio State is a better football team than Oregon... Maybe Mariota should come back and try it one more time...

Somewhere Woody Hayes is smiling..... tempo/schempo.....still about blocking and tackling. The future is awful bright for the BUCKS.

You mean I don't have to watch the ESPN piece about Mariota and the Catholic School again. I think they forgot to tell Joey Bosa that Mariota was supposed to win it all for the ducks.

Hate the Ducklings and the Luckeyes. Congrats to OSU. They punched the soft west coast Ducks right in the nuts.

Luckeyes?????...... Really?.......last three games the "Luckeyes" outscored their opponents 143-55. Don't think luck had much to do with it.

Luckeyes refers to way back in the '02 title game. I just like the name so it stuck with me. This OSU was only lucky in the sense that their loss to a crappy opponent was early in the year and that they were stacked with QBs that thrive in pressure situations. Good for them. Still hate them.

The Ohio State University while probably glad for the playoff system this year, they however took care of business on the football field in a very physical manner!............I'm amazed at Bosa.........he's doing now at the college level what he did also at the HS level............completely dominate!

Go Canes Go!

It was the first time in probably twenty years that I didn't even watch.

I'm already hearing on ESPN that UM is a coaching god! Give me a break! He's a quitter and that's all he'll ever be.

Agreed. Punk was scared to compete in the south. Period.

Ohio State make their share of mistakes, but what they did right for most of the night was control the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball. They basically did whatever they wanted to Oregon and Ducks were helpless to stem the tide.

Elliot is a powerful back with surprising speed for a man his size, but most of the night he was running through holes that were big enough for a Mack truck. Oregon was doomed once OSU's linemen started to dominate.

OSU played it's most physical game of the year against Alabama. With one less mistake, the Tide could have easily won the game and gone to Texas, but they were so beat up physically they might not have been able to contend with Oregon 11 days later.

Neutral ain't here to try to change anyone's mind about football in the Big 10, but one thing is dead certain, even in defeat there are plenty of Big 10 teams that take great pride in poundin the livin chit outta people wearin the other color shirts.

"Quitter?" ?????? "Scared to compete in the South" ?????? HaHa! A bunch of haters for sure...

I am NOT a Gator fan or a Gator hater... VA Tech is my team and yes I realize that they are not that good but they are my team regardless...

The hatred of Urban from Gator homers is shocking! He gave the University and it's fans 2 National titles and now he's a quitter because he decided to exercise his rights as an american citizen to improve his life according to his own perspective...

NO matter the reason for Coach Meyers departure from the University of Florida He was the most successful Football coach in the history of the university...Urban Meyer put the Gators back on the map...

Not 1 fan has any idea of the inner workings within the athletic department, behind the scenes what goes on or any understanding of why he might have wanted to leave or needed to leave for himself personally or professionally... We just DON'T know...

College football coaches win or lose. If they win they get a raise and a contract extension or they go get a better job, if they lose they get fired...Urban won and when he saw fit he went and got a better job...Yes that's right, both his announcing gig and Ohio State University were better jobs in his opinion and in these circumstances who's opinion counts more?

I cannot see how anyone has a problem with that..... It is just the way it is in college football today... Get over it and move on... Next man up! LET'S GO COACH MAC!!!!

OMG! Look who crawled out from under a rock, our one and possibly only Ohio State fan.

Hokie, I live in Virginia. My condolences. Maybe you should become a Cavalier fan?

As for what Urban Meyer did at Florida, he ran away from a bunch of criminals he let run the roost. All the details came out long after he left. What do you think causes all the heart palpitations. And, just like when Nick Saban assured everyone he was not leaving the Miami Dolphins, you don't say one then do another.

Is OSU the best program in that state or the country? I would think most Ohio residents what think Notre Dame was the best job and he passed that up. But, OSU was so screwed up at the time, anything he did would look great. Wait until the arrests start. Mark my words, it will happen!

Gator Fan just being Gator Fan, Hokie! I've always believed the reason why he left WAS Gator Fan.

ALWAYS CRYING! Didn't win big enough! Didn't score enough points in the win! Won, but didn't get the shutout!

Born and raised a Hokie as my father played there in the early 60's, my early childhood training would NOT allow me to root for the Cavaliers, now I live in central Florida and I'm a DEFINITELY NOT a fan of Ohio State or Urban Meyer... Just sayin', that from the outside of any situation no-one could ever know why he left or who's fault it was so there is NO reason to hate the man that put the club back in the conversation... Just be happy that you experienced the good times and that you made it through the bad times and move on.... Urban obviously has...

There are a lot of ego's bouncing around the Florida football program and MANY of them are not officially associated with the program... There's really no telling what happened to send that thing into a tailspin...
