How did I miss this? Lots of schools from me and my oldest son's old conference here.

SK, I know... And I posted this especially for you!
I will get you an update after the season is complete. We should try to get together for this year's championship rematch in Daytona. Marian IN vs. Southern Oregon. Maybe we can hookup with Dan from Daytona. I think he went to last year's game.

Yes I did Laz, and it was very well played. Best game I saw all year. S. Oregon had an explosive offense that was too much for Marian. Different year, different result ? I doubt it unless coaching staffs have changed. Come on over, this game is a no brainer for this local sports fan.

Thanks Laz, man can;t believe I missed it, was probably out to the Fish Camp one weekend and just didn't check in.

My college roomie, a guy from Oyster Bay, LI and our Q, got into reffing not long after we graduated, did a couple of title games, finally hung it up two years ago. He did a lot of KCAC games and was the one who suggested where my son should go based on what he was seeing on the sidelines - proved to be a great choice, we got 4 KCAC title rings between us. Even when I played there was a pretty good brand of football played, you were happy to have the chance and I did play against two guys who had pretty good NFL careers, Bay Lawrence was pro-bowl corner for the Falcons, Ed Smith was a DT for the Broncos.

I predict that the NAIA Championship game will have an extraordinary chain crew, game, and play clock crew.

NAIA champion and the DIII champion need to play every year for the first game of the year. It could be the NAIA/DIII Kickoff Classic. That would be good for both divisions.

That's a great idea. Jambun have you worked those games long? My roomie's name was Mike McNiece his crew worked the Colorado, Kansas Missouri Texas area. I think he did a DIII championship about 4 years ago, side judge.

I would also like to see these match ups.Coincidentally, earlier this year 2014 D3 champ UW-Whitewater played at perennial NAIA powerhouse Morningside. Whitewater won in a close one 33-30. Morningside just lost in the NAIA semifinal to Southern Oregon last week 30-27. Whitewater is still alive in the D3 playoffs. So both are really good programs. Maybe we'll see more of this in the future.
