Well, at times it wasn't pretty. Many flags were being thrown in the direction of the Buccaneers again. No doubt this must be cleaned up. But considering that Mainland generally plays to the level of its competition and the Bulldogs are now 0-3 you get the message. Add in the big road win Monday night and maybe this isn't really much of a short week surprise. Mainland has so many playmakers on both sides of the ball that inconsistent and sloppy early season play can be overcome by their abundance of athletic talent. Another victim next week at Pine Ridge and then the Panthers of Dr Phillips come to town. Something tells me, from years of observation, the real Mainland Buccaneers will show up for that mid season statement.
