For the first time in school history Mainland runs their record to 13-0. Defense is playing at a championship level. Offense is at level not seen in Volusia County since the Bucs 2003 state title team. Add the two together and what do you have ? Answer, one extremely powerful, determined football team in the state semi-finals for the third time in four seasons. In 2011 the Mainland coaches decided to play the team down to its correct student population. Any guesses as to who knocked us out of the state title game the last two times ? Here's a hint, some called this December 5 rematch in the spring and repeated it often enough to irritate all but the diehard Mainland football family. Now that Monster must finally leave home and travel up to Daytona Beach. To be the best, you got to beat the best. Miami Central is the King. Come on up to our house, Your Highness... we got a little something for you. 13 down 2 to go

Hendog, I sure do. Pretty good first half, 2nd half all Central. Most impressed with the reserve running back. Young man named Freeman☺
You see the 2011,2013 Bucs down there at Traz Powell ? This Mainland team is more like those last two. Any opinions on the game ?

Yea. I was at both of those at Traz. Good games, I agree. i heard mainland got a young Qb that is nice. Meanwhile Central lost Yearby & Cook. Mainland is at home & an 8 point favorite, Does Central even have a chance?

You know, like me, that spread is bull$hit. Tell me, when was the last time Central needed 8pts ? Teddy and the Bulls ? We got a new offensive system this year to go along with our strong defense that always stuffs the run. Qb Denzel Houston ( #5 ) is the best 10 grader to ever come through here. Smooth, poised, good legs, and a strong arm. Three 4x100 track guys ( #3, #6, #8 ) help him make the O-go. All three faster then our QB last year. Got a good mix of 10th, 11th, and 12th grade starters. Been to playoffs 21 straight years. Lakeland only public school with longer current streak. Hope that you and all the 305 that come up have a nice stay while you're here. The game will be right, maybe even a classic. From the coaches, to the players, to the fans, Miami Central is who we wanted to play since last December. Thanks for taking care of business on your end. Anybody else in this round would have been a letdown....Peace, no hater here.... Buc forever

Dan, u are one classy fan. Mainland definitely made us earn it. I was pleased with my D line, but that qb#5 is special.
