Any thoughts or predictions on this 7A game? (send prayers ). WAVE OUT!

If I'm East Lake, I think I'd be studying some offensive formation from shortly after WWII. Saw Coach Sammy come out with one that year Armwood had the three 1,000 yard rushers in the backfield and play them close enough for one bad call that saved the Wood's bacon late.

The guy behind me in the stands said he ran that same particular offense when he was in high school and he graduated in 1948.

Contain Campbell. Pay attention to the tight end. Don't fumble 4 or 5 times. Do these and I give the Green Wave a 60% chance of gawking at that parking garage.

EL other than Campbell isn't very explosive, Hudson the QB although doing more this year, is still just going to be the guy who just manages the game offensively when you get right down to it. They have a few players going both ways, and want a game where they play sound, physical football believing the team they play wont be able do the same and will eventually make mistakes. They aren't as good as the were a year ago, but still very good never the less. Defensively to me their LB's as a group is what stands out, you'll also see Campbell at DB occasionally. Offensively EL will march a huge offensive line onto the field, I guess in as far as a question about Fort Myers what does Fort Myers bring to the game in DE's and their ability to rush from the edge? Making Hudson uncomfortable through out the game when he drops back to pass would be huge! They run the ball by committee with no one back being what I would deem a game changer. I don't believe EL had to travel very far last year during the playoff's and hasn't obviously hasn't had to yet this year. so this will be the 1st major bus ride EL has had to make in a long while............will be interesting to see how EL responds to that?

How many times have you seen Ft Myers this year, Mr. Singer?..............I asked only because I don't believe your Pinellas County bias allows you to see this game objectively. Its a winnable game for the Greenies at home, and I know Wavebb you would like nothing more than to have an opportunity to hookup on the football field with your STA friends! If FT Myers stays away from making mistakes, I see this as a very winnable game for them. EL hasn't got that type of dominating team, just very sound and well coached.

Wave, best of luck to you and your Green Wave. I'm heading your way Friday afternoon with a couple of grandstand budds. Down and back. See you and the boys in O-Town in a couple weeks if you make it. Peace

Green Wave will have to limit turnovers. Their Q, when he's on, will drop a dime accuracy wise. He started a little slow against Charlotte and missed a couple of reciveres. But in the 2nd half, he exposed our pass defense and was putting deep passes right exactly where they needed to be. Their D-line is pretty good, but ELs will be expodentially better than the Tarps O-line was this year.

I've heard a lot about EL, they're the favorite, but Coach Sammy will have his boys ready. And if it's any more physical than last weeks game, watch out. There were some huge hits in that game, and both sides just kept coming back for more.

If its similar to Pinellas Park then East Lake will have some practice playing against it.

Their defense is really good on all 3 levels and they have one of the best LB's in the state... I would try to dedicate 1 back or linemen to getting him out of the way the whole game.

One thing FT Myers cannot do is turn the ball over. EL feasts off of turnover opportunities with short fields.

Very good observation from you on EL except for 2 things. Campbell has not played much DB this year at all (perhaps against Manatee he did) but 90% of the time that he is on defense he is playing DE more like a rush end position.

Also this is a home game for East Lake and Wavebb is flying in (literally) and I will be picking him up from the airport so please pray for me LMAO.

You were correct in saying they have no real game changers at RB and the have been trying to use Campbell more at RB but he is not the natural RB that Tay Scott was. They are just consistent and easily get you 3 to 5 yards each play. Hudson is better than last year (I gave them hell because of his play last year) but he is not a world beater either. Get pressure on him (easier said than done) and he may sh** the bed.

My Bad Peezy, I read it wrong on the where the game was being played at

gatorman,

You can ask Peezy, I don't have much Pinellas bias. Not only am I East Lake's biggest critic, you'd probably be surprised where I ranked them in my ballot.

Change of plans by the way, I'll be at CCC vs AH-Delray

So you address the EL bias question, but remain silent on the "How mant times have you seen Ft Myers this year"? Wavebb has been very quiet about his Greenies this year, something if I were a EL supporter I'd be very concenred about! EL is beatable and Ft Myers is a much better team than the Port Charlotte team they beat up on last year.

All kidding aside, gatorman001. We don't have a chance Friday night. I'm calling in sick and going to meet Dan Up In Daytona for the Mainland/South Fort Myers game. Just being real. WAVE OUT!

Anytime Wavebb opens his comments with any of the following words and/or statements, "Seriously, All Kidding Aside, etc" be very very concerned about the sincerity of everything that proceeds those words and/or statements!

Campbell is the best Wr I've seen since Andre Johnson at Miami High. He's the real deal.built like Dre in his high school days. What ever you do don't kick the ball to him " Dont do it".He also plays Defensive end on passing down and he's coming for the Qb. East Lake by 2 Td's.

The Qb is underated. He's very smart and manages the game.He dose not force it.They like to run a lot of end arounds with campbell.

Not picking at your and not gonna dog my boy wave (was great hanging with you last night Wave) but Ft Myers seemed shell shocked from the go. They were a lot smaller and less physical than I thought too. I like the young RB and WR but the QB was not on all game. He threw 1 good pass in which the WR caught but didn't get feet down in endzone.

I am not sure how much of a chance EL has against STA next week though.
