After four years of teams stacked with transfers, and finally making the playoffs and winning the district this season, former Bucs RB, Ernest Graham called it quits at NFM last week.

Two weeks ago the News-Press reported a couple coaches leaving NFM for other jobs. Graham however said he wasn't planning on leaving, even though the district had his position posted. Then last week he made it official.

He built NFM back, but they had some hoss's that transferred in. It took them till this year, and a weak Charlotte team (District runner up) to win the district.

Going to be interesting to see what Lee County team attracts the athletes now, with this shift in the talent universe. I'm guessing most would want to go to Ft Myers.

That's a surprise! He was very well like there according to the press.

On other coaching info, former FSU QB Charlie Ward is leaving coaching football as Washington High in Pensacola to coach basketball in Tallahassee. He excelled at playing both sports. Hope he does the same in coaching.

One day Nu'Trelle bumped into a baseball coach who had a high school-aged outfielder named Ernest Graham on a summer All-Star team.

Nu'Trelle: "I know he's fast, but how is he as a base runner?"

Baseball Coach: "Great. He has natural base running instincts that are rare to find in player his age."

Nu'Trelle: "What about his arm?"

Baseball Coach: "Lots of strength. Gets rid of the ball quickly and throws strikes to all bases. Never misses a cut-off man either."

Nu'Trelle: "Sounds like he's been well-coached. What's he like at the plate?"

Baseball Coach: "Very patient. Knows the strike zone. Hits for average and prefers to hit line drives rather than go for the fences. Intelligent enough to take what a pitcher gives him. Hits the ball hard to all fields. He's a natural-born three hitter if I've ever seen one."

Nu'Trelle: "Sounds like the kid's got a future beyond high school ... unless, of course, he has a weakness."

Baseball Coach: "Ernest has only one weakness ... but it's a BIG one."

Nu'Trelle: "What's that?"

Baseball Coach: "His first love is football."

And ... as they say ... the rest is History.

Nu'trelle, those trailer park debutants must be keeping you busy and up late at night. Hear any Fleetwood Mac album stuff about the OC position at Dunbar?
