Ida Baker had a tough two weeks playing Bradon River last week (losing 42-14) and Charlotte this week. They didn't quit - give them that. Everytime they had something good going, they turned the ball over.

Here's the way one went that kind of explains their evening: The Bulldogs fumble, one of our guys scoops it, gets hit, coughs it up, spins and picks it up again. Think he coughed it up again, but couldn't really tell because there were some guys blocking my line of sight and the ball was heading away. All of a sudden someone spins out of the pile and heads to the end zone for a scoop and score.

No shortage of long runs tonight for Charlotte; Last week they had one over 90. This team has as many options as 2009. Herald Trib:

"Quarterback Dee Hicks lobbed a 7-yard pass to Jacob White in the left corner. Travon McClary turned a reverse into a 55-yard highlight. D’Vonte Price dashed 83 yards down the sideline. Maleek Williams chugged 20 yards up the middle. And Price added a dazzling 56-yard breakaway and cutback. All five plays ended in the same place — the end zone."

Tarpons are averaging 52 points a game for the first three, but head to Ft Myers this week, which should be a good test.
