...Thanksgiving is coming and it's Poster of the Year stretch season - Big finish. Be creative, if you can't make a decent point with words, drop in a song. Preferably Steely Dan, they cover about every situation in life.

Anybody know what happened to Jambun the 2022 Poster of the Year & our favorite high school referee? I loved to read his defenses of officiating. I know he was banned on other message boards but he was free to express himself here.

Swims grew up in Conyers, Georgia. His father introduced him to soul music at an early age by way of artists like Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder, and Al Green.[5] Swims' family were football enthusiasts; he had been playing football for ten years when, during his second year at Salem High School, one of his teachers suggested he and a few of his teammates sign up for a musical theatre class. The teacher also said he should join the chorus.[6]

Swims discovered his passion for performance through his experience in high-school theatre, where he performed in musicals such as Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat and Rent, as well as Shakespeare plays.[7] He began playing instruments including piano and ukulele, and watched YouTube videos of singers to help develop his vocal technique

My daughter played a Teddy Swims for me Saturday. I didn’t pay it much attention because I have the “heard it all before” attitude. I have that attitude because it is true. That being said I enjoyed the video.

I found Jambun. He just reappeared on Josh’s site. We will welcome him back when he comes over here. Let’s lure him with an official’s mistake this week if we see one.

I saw he had decided to grace everyone with his presence. No one is more politically in the know than I am, but his constant need to brings politics into everything beyond him also being a general A hole.....makes him someone I don't miss....similar to Canes0177

That might just get an appearance. Amazing no one brought up politics, Didn't some major event related to schisms just occur?

Growing up in the Southern Baptist Convention, I was a "neutral observer" (primarily due to my age), to several schisms in the church. Reflecting back on those and their actions that led to those situations, reminded me of a song my Uncle's Blue Grass Gospel group sang from time to time. Maybe we could come up with a similar practice in politics(Pay special attention to the last verse)????

I saw a Blue Grass Festival in Kansas in 1976, and it was the first time Lester Flatt & Earl Scruggs reunited in years - very cool.

A major podcaster did a whole show on the "schism's" that impacted the most recent election.............

Not going to say too much here, but really surprised the MSM isn't saying more about the Biden Administration decision to allow the use of the Himars and the ATACMS missile system into Russia and then Putin's response by unleshing a new intermediate balistic missile system that reaches speeds up to mach 11-13 that we have no capability to shoot down. There are several folks with expertise in this stuff, that feel we are closer now than we even were during the Cuban missile system to nuclear war and/or WW3. Most seem too feel the Biden administration is trying to "Trump Proof" the Ukraine situation before Jan 20th.......Then to whole Isreal situation......some anaylsis I've read have indicated within Isreal politically is showing signs of self destruction and possibly a end of Isreal as a country.....The worlld is a scary place right now

I’ve always kind of liked this song. Makes me think of Three Dog Night who Candace and I saw with some friends at Ruth Eckerd Hall in Clearwater. The show had 2 groups perform. The other group was those hippies America. They were both good. Heard a commentator on the radio say recently that Three Dog Night is not as respected because they did not write their songs. Damn Beatles!
