I have to say that over the last few years, there hasn't been hardly a dull moment for material for this board, up to the north of Tamiami Trail and US 301.

Booker is all over the place at this point. They always have athletes but they lack organization and discipline. The last coach was a very passionate guy that would make a great position coach but he was not head coach material. The new coach played at FSU and is a product of the community so I think that helps. A lot of their players have been going to Riverview. If this coach can bring discipline and organization, Booker can be a force at 5A in the next couple years.

What doesn't help Booker is that Sarasota and Riverview all get a piece of New Town. Makes it that much easier for a kid to transfer to one of those schools. Booker and the area around Booker have some of the best athletes in the are and I agree with Fla2014 they could build a powerful program with the right head coach.
