1) Choctawhatchee Indians obviously (my greatnephew is heading to Barron Collier so I'll become a Cougar fan soon)
2) 6A district 3
3) Went to the 6A final four in 2014. Many believe 2015 will be even better.
4) 1991

Ocala Trinity Catholic Celtics - Cloverleaf
3A Region II District 3 (Northeast Florida)
9-2 in 2014
4 Championship appearances. 2 state titles

Orlando Dr. Phillips
8A District 5
81-9 since 2008, 7 consecutive 10 win seasons
State Finalist 2010; Final Four 2010, 2012;
Elite 8 2010, 2012, 2014; District Champion (1997, 2006, 2008-2014)
10-0: 1997, 2009, 2010, 2012, 2013, 2014
0 State Titles

Lost by a combined 4 points the last two years in two losses (24-23 Plant; 24-21 Manatee).
No titles. Some day. Maybe this year, it's all a pipe dream for now...

1. Apopka Blue Darters
2. 8a, District 4
3. 11-4 in 2014
4. Large classification State Champion: 2001, 2012 and 2014; State runner up 2013. Losing semifinalist: 2007 and 2009.

Run first team, but does have a rudimentary, but effective passing game. Despite losing a number of talented seniors: Chandler Cox, Auburn; Martez Ivey, Florida, among others, should again be pretty strong this year.

I watched Apopka play Byrnes a few years back, seems like another teams loaded with a lot of talent!!

Probably not (no offense to the DP faithful) It seems like when DP had their best chances in the last 10 years they ran up against extreme monsters of a team to either get to state or win at state like the Miami Central game.

Elimination losses last 6 years: Manatee, Plant, Apopka, Plant, Miami Central, Apopka

Three won state (2010-2012). Manatee and Plant (the last two years) lost to Apopka in the final four.

1. Manatee Hurricanes
2. 8A District 7
3. 12-2 State Semi-Finalists
4. State Champions 1915, 1983, 1985, 1989, 1992, 2011; State Runner-Up 1993 and 2009

The school recently started claiming the 1915 title. Manatee is a team that always has skill talent and their defense is usually pretty stout. The years where they are tough in the trenches are the years they make deep runs. This year's team is expected to be very good again. Not sure how high the ceiling is, but they open at Hoover and we'll have a good idea how good they will be after that.

I root for all Brevard, Florida teams, however my son played for Cocoa so I'll go strong with that.

1. Cocoa Tigers
2. 4A District 5
3. 12-2 Semi Finalist
4. State Champions 2009, 2010 and 2011.Semi Finals 2012, 2013, 2014. District champs since 2005.

Ditto with Cat_Scratch. I'm a Cocoa Alumni from way back in '81 and had a brother that played there before me. You just can't get HS Football out of your system, I don't care where you went.

Wecome 'justafan, 1st post and all. Your brother didn't happen to play with that great early '70's backfield of Jimmy Black, Waldo Williams, and Leon Bright did he ? Those 'Cats were the real deal.

Thanks on the welcome, yes I finally posted something after lurking for many years. As to when my brother played, he was a little after that '75-'76. Those guys played across the water for the Merritt Island Mustangs.

Ditto on the Welcome imjustafan2. Always good to have another Cocoa Tiger on the prowl.

Roadkiller, give us a count of how many times Niceville has been close to a championship. It's probably a state record. They probably last missed the playoffs in 2003.

I was cheering for them every time and went to many of those playoff games!

1]St.Augustine yellow jackets.2] 6a region 1 district 4. 3] 10 -2 ,district champs 11 straight years 04-14 ,state runner up 01,07 and state champs 05.

Choctaw,
Niceville has made the playoffs every year this century I believe. I think they are the only team in the state that has done that

Sorry Roadkill, but Lakeland and Mainland High have the longest current Florida "public" high school playoff streak still going at 23 and 21 straight years.

For the info, I believe St Thomas Aquinas has the longest streak still going on. Jacksonville Bolles is in the 20's also. Peace

STA 24
Bolles 22
Glades Day 22
Lakeland 22
Mainland 21, but not in FHSAA 2015-16 record book. Just FIRED e-mail to FHSAA, What's up with that????

Roadkill, they have Niceville making the playoffs every year since 1991, EXCEPT the 1999 and 2000 season....just a little more info :)
