Thanks Dan. And if you throw out the Independents, the number goes to 54% for the larger schools and 46% for the smaller schools. This is consistent with what I've been seeing ever since we went to 8 classifications. Thousands of these interclass games and the larger schools only win slightly more than half. So I still say we have too many classifications. We need to get down to 5 or 6. Think of the playoff matchups we are missing out on under the current format. No need to have eight state champions in my opinion. Why does everybody have to get a trophy?

Who skewed those 3A vs. 6A results? My first guess was Bolles against the larger Jacksonville schools, but, I see they are in 4A.

Actually, 3A has a winning record against ever other class. That is an amazing stat!

1A Newberry beat 7A Chiles 33 to 6 and 8A West Port beat 1A Wildwood 63 to 0.

If you just look at 3A, the two finalists (AH-Delray and Jax Trinity Christian) beat 2/4 teams remaining in 5A (AH-Plantation and Godby). Heritage also has wins over Glades Central (4A), East Lee County (6A), Palm Bay Heritage (6A) and Central High Alabama 7A (obviously not counted in these stats, impressive nonetheless).

Say what you want about these teams and their "student acquisition techniques" but that's pretty dang impressive.
